I think that this is a viable strategy. However, there is bound to be pros as well as cons definitely if such a strategy is utilized by a particular organization. This is because of the aspect that there will always be certain important employees and organizational members who will be left out of either of the strategies of making strategic planning decisions and operational decisions. It is important to understand that strategic planning decisions will always be the basis on which the operational decisions of an organization will be made. Therefore, one must understand that centralizing strategic planning decisions would be positive and could also be positively accepted by the overall workforce and the overall management of an organization.
